Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party
While babysitting the 5 year old to be, I would read her Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. She loved the story so I threw her a tea party birthday themed around the book.

The decoration table included frames with original writing from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and pictures from the book. I tied tags with Alice saying, "Drink Me," on lemonade bottlesand laid out books.

From printed images and stock paper I made an Alice in Wonderland memory game as well as Alice in Wonderland paper dolls. The children's gift bags contained book marks with each of the children's name stamped on it, an Alice in Wonderland sticker book, and a small container of bubbles. Next to the gift bags the children were able to grab wooden fans from a basket.

To create a rabbit hole for the children to crawl through I hung white curtains with cutouts on both sides of the walk through staircase.

As one of the activities I printed out Alice in Wonderland coloring pages.

Vintage Mickey Mouse Cocktail Party

Vintage Mickey Mouse Cocktail Party
To celebrate my father's 56th birthday I threw a Vintage Mickey Mouse themed surprise party since he's a huge Disney fan.

I designed both the birthday and cinema sign out of paper and cardboard.

For decorations I printed vintage Mickey Mouse movie posters and placed them in gold frames. From Disneyland I purchased kettle corn and Mickey Mouse Club hats to bring a little bit of the theme park home.

This sign was made from pieces of cardboard and cutout letters from stock paper. The curtain was made out of an old sheet.

A Disney Trivia game was set out for guests to play. I also placed some trivia cards in cardholders on two other tables for people to quiz each other on their Disney knowledge while socializing.

I made this board and set it on an easel stand for more decoration, it including the invitation I set out for the party.

Since the birthday man loves tequila, we set up a table dedicated for tequila tasting.

These Mickey Mouse cookies were purchased from Disneyland on Mainstreet.

Circus Party
For Kaiden's first birthday I threw him a circus themed party. The day was filled with bright colors, junk food, and tons of fun.

The gift bags were small cardboard popcorn bags with mini stuffed animals, lollypops, bubbles and star stickers.

I made the "Happy 1st Birthday," sign out of craft paper and marker.

This lion cage was made from a large cardboard box. I cut out the bars of the cage and painted it red, gold, and blue.

Pirate Party
The soon to be 7 year old wanted a pirate themed birthday party. So I set out some goodies that the kids could choose from.

For party favors I set out maps, pirate hats, compasses, hooks and swords.

I placed printed pictures in wooden frames to inexpensively add decorations to the table.
